Uncertainty
The clear blue memory,
That now seems to fade from me
It takes my very breath,
And every step takes me closer to death
Life would have been great,
Is it too late?
To save what we had
Is it possible to stay mad?
Or is it the pride
That led to this unfaithful stride
Can we live without love?
And still be as happy as two loving doves
Or does life itself cease
And become one big crease
And shatter your beliefs
And make it so hard to release
Your soul to roam free
Just as the wind that strikes thee
Life would be so simple
There would be no wrinkle
In time and space
To change and unlace
The love of two people
So sacred upon the steeple
