I may not know you
I may not know you.
But I know who you are.
I know that you sit at home on Friday nights.
Wishing you could be like "them,"
You just wish that someone could hear your silent cries.
You need someone to talk to,
To confide in.
All you have wanted your entire life is someone to trust,
But yet you don't know how.
You battle with your own insecurities.
You worry that people won't accept you.
You try to cover up your flaws with silence.
No one knows your name.
I've seen you sitting alone in all your classes.
Staring out the window.
Deep in thought.
You're probably wondering what others are thinking.
But I want to know what you're thinking.
I'll be your friend if you ever need one.
I'll be there for you when you need someone to confide in.
I'll be someone you can trust,
Because I am just like you.
