My Heart In Half
My heart in half, torn between two;
Friend of old or man who is new.
My friend, who will always be there,
Or the man, with natural flair.
Though my friend will always be true.
Does he love me, or has he a clue
That of my love, I always knew.
But now there’s a man who will tear
My heart in half.
For my love the man did pursue.
Friend, I thought your love for me grew?
The man’s love can never compare
To what you have made me despair,
Yet somehow I have gotten through
My heart in half.
