~Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and your actions be louder than your words~

Everybody was the same
This world seemed to be insane

Harrison was just a child
Who committed suicide

Everybody was confused
They just looked so unamused

Father couldn’t think ahead
With this radio on his head

Mother had so little brain
That she couldn’t feel the pain

Everything was just so bad
Like directed for an ad

Everything was just so boring
That this future got me worrying

I just think that it’s a shame
Everybody being insane

The author's comments:

My poem is inspired by "Harrison Bergeron". A 1995 film loosley adapted from  Kurt Vonnegut's 1961 short story.
