Sunken
Tears filled the river bank
My heart sank
Here where the flowers no longer grow
And where greenery ceases to show
I wrapped my hand,
The one with the stolen wedding band
Above, the full moon was aglow
Black water held a steady flow
The tide was high
Not wanting another moment to pass by
I jumped in
The weights bore the rope into my skin
At the bottom lie next me my sunken heart
And all it's fragments falling apart
