Drip, drip, drip
Drip, drip, drip.
Yellow coat,
black umbrella,
red lips,
brown eyes,
red boots,
wet face.
Drip, drip, drip.
Black coat,
black shoes,
wet hair,
white headphones,
black coffee,
blue eyes.
Drip, drip, drip.
Large crowds,
loud sirens,
clicking heels,
busy people,
tired people,
lonely people.
Drip, drip, drip
Split coffee,
dropped umbrella,
stranger’s face,
stuttered apologies.
flustered laughs
lonely hearts.
Drip, drip, drip.
New friends,
exchanged phone numbers,
blushed faces,
small smiles,
quick steps,
not so lonely hearts.

This piece was a poem I wrote a while ago and really, truly loved and still do.
