A fair wind and
Honey lights of home
But anguish lies ahead
Thunders on the land prepare it
Denial of yourself, restraint of shipmates
Find the grazing herds of Helios
Avoid those kine
Destruction for ship and crew
Lost for years
To find your house filled
Men eating your livestock
Court your lady
Make those men atone in blood
Go overland on foot
Take an oar
The spot will soon be plain
Make fair sacrifice to lord Poseidon
Carry out pure hecatombs
A seaborne death
Wearied out with rich old age
