We love to sleep in the hallways while we hold each other’s hands, as if we’re sea otters,
We can’t be without each other, we act like a game of jenga, so here we are

Driving remote control race cars through the cafeteria, and shooting foam Nerf bullets at them,
If you’re looking for the source of the rubber marks on the floors, here we are.

We love giving each other piggyback rides and bear hugs,
If you’re ever feeling glum, and need some love, here we are,

Sharing our pizza after school with each other as if we’re brothers and sisters,
We can’t be away from each other, so here we are

Swinging each other around, “someone get his arms, I’ve got his feet,” and away he goes,
If you ever have an urge to do something stupid, here we are.

We go to Build-A-Bear Workshop and create stuffed Pikachus with a My Little Pony sound box in it,
No one ever wasted so much money on a stuffed animal and we wanted to be the first, so here we are

We’re stuck to each other like glue, wherever one goes, the rest go, too,
We want to remain freshman forever, but that can’t happen, so making every moment count, here we are.

The author's comments:

This poem is about my relationship between the best friends I could ever ask for. And I'm fortunate enough that I get to go to class with them every day. They're always by my side, and we'll never forget about eachother, no matter what the future has in store for us.
