Flood

Eyes covered, closed
Darkness, black, confused
Self-abandoned
To rise: no will,
To flee: no strength.
Longing to be dead
One idea, God
Unuttered prayer
Words wandering
No energy to express
It was near:
No petition to avert
It came heavy
Torrent poured over
Whole consciousness
My life, my love, my hope, my faith
Floods overflowed me.
