The Fear Of Drowning

Feeling torn for pain and sorrow

Placed in undesirable misery which flees through the corners of joy

Making it hopeless to even present a smile

Longing for a different outcome soon becomes outdated

Reasoning at which remains a mystery

Being stripped down from all your hopes and dreams

Becoming emotionally vulnerable towards new settings

Refraining myself for the safety of my heart

The deeper my feelings go the lower I shall become

Avoiding the lack of trust persuades me to swim away

To stay ashore I must remain at a higher level

If i risk the choice of swimming too deep

Would further result in drowning.

This poem defines why I continue to despair.
