Ode to Passion

O Passion, where do you lurk?
When will you reach out
with your fingers of flame
and light the fire that I will spend the rest of my life tending?

I hope you're listening:
you can run,
but please don't hide from me
for too long.
I must find you, will find you,
wouldn't you like to be
my own, eternally burning branch?

Say yes.

With these words,
I call you
Beseech you
Praise you
Tempt you

Find me.

My sister inspired me to write this; it's her first year at college, and she's been all about finding her passion in life. I think I know mine, but I hope it finds both her and me soon.
