A bright future for us?
Or an empty night sky?
Look through my eyes
Are any stars in sight?
A diamond in the rough?
Or a lunar eclipse?
Look through my eyes
Is the Sun shining through?
Are any clouds in view?
Of this thinly veiled mask
Look through my eyes
Are you trying too hard?
To decode our message
Maybe this should all be left behind
Look through my eyes
For the very last time
Wipe away these tears
We're taking our last chance
Close your eyes and picture us
The way we'll never be
