You got so much to say

That you won't be hearing me

And your just being mean

This is the day you got to brace yourself

And get out of my face

Won't you fade away

Let me make my own mistakes

Because you've made yours

And I have my flaws

But I'm not as destructive as a saw

Everything I do is wrong in your eyes

And I will be singing a song

About how you put me down

There's no sound to describe

The aching in my heart

And no I'm not faking

Only shaking and breaking things around me

If what I believe in is wrong

Then why don't you let me find out for myself

And get out of my way

Don't think you can control me

You can lie to yourself

And say I am what I'm not

Since I really am what I am

And I'm not strange for changing

This is my road to choose

My views to cruise

And my soul will move me through my bruising

No matter what I'll have to lose

Because this is the life I choose

I might be young

But I've got at least one lung

And I will breathe no matter what

This is my life to choose
