Starry night as a Cowboy
dust blows across the ground
my mind wanders to other days
the horse I ride turns around
walking away in a dirty haze
with every step
he grows weary
head hung low
eyes dreary
the sun has set
with no place to stay
my blanket
a saddle pad my horse has toiled under all day
lay here under the stars with me
listen to the coyote screech
you will see
the cowboy's life is fulfilling to me.
