"I Am" poem
Sierra
I am special and kind
I wonder what the future is like
I hear the winds whirling
I see a dragon breathing purple fire
I want to read your mind
I am special and kind
I pretend to see in the dark
I feel like an Egyptian queen
I touch wave crests as they fall into the ocean
I worry about the world’s health
I cry because sometimes there’s nothing else to do
I am special and kind
I understand a fraction of life
I say, “you can do it!”
I dream to be a wandering wallflower
I try to inspire people
I hope for equality for all
I am special and kind
