I walk up to the little house
With two silver cars
Parked outside
The garage is opened slightly
The sound of a radio
Gets louder the closer I get to the house
“He throws the ball, and TOUCH DOWN EAGLES”
Everytime I come I get that warm feeling
Of love and happiness
He answers the door.
I ask “How is she?”
Scared she isn’t going to be well
Scared she is in pain
Scared I might lose her
But…
I
Have
Hope
As I walk to the sunroom
She sits there
Black hair, brown eyes
In her light green zip up robe
On the couch with her feet up
In her cute little slippers
The chocolate and coffee aroma
Fills the air
Giving me joy that she is well.
She smiles as I enter the room
Hiding her pain, and weakness
From the pill she takes for her leukemia
But she still loves me unconditionally
Just like I love her unconditionally.
Pray for G-mom
