I’m gonna write a poem now
I hope it flows and rhymes are found
If I succeed my next will be
About how I am finally free
Free to write about spring’s fresh dew
Free to write about things I knew
Free to write about life that soon
Will fade away and leave empty rooms
I’m halfway done I’ll persevere
The path ahead’s becoming clear
The path to writing many poems
The path to doing work at home
I’ll write and write till fingers tire
I’ll write until my hand’s on fire
I’ll write this piece till’ it is done
I’ll write until my hands are numb
