baby pink

March 28, 2017

Soft pale skin
Touching baby pink lips
The pure taste of sunlight
And goosebumps all over
Running fingers through short rough hair

Falling in love with every note of soft breath
Laughing up oceans of tears
Ear to ear
Unforgettable smiles
Gave us permanent lines
Engraved by our eyes

Week long sleep overs
Stormy weather and a stray orange cat
Dodging that falling tree
You’re apart of all my favorite memories

I wanted to go back in time
Before bright green eyes turned dim
Back when you stole me from crowds
For a moment alone

Where did it all go wrong
We lost a rare constant
In a world of unknown
