So take me.
As i stand.
On the platform,
Waiting for the train to Paris.
How fast the train is going,
I could just walk in front of it.

Hope flashes like seconds,
Like blind spots.
Just reach out and grab me,
Hold me close,
Tell me you will miss me.

Love like a train going more than
100 miles per hour,
That's how hard my heart races
As i stand.
On the platform.
Gripping my bag,
Fumbling with my ticket,

Eyes glued to your shadow on the ground
And waiting for you to
Take me
As i stand
How fast everything is going.

How can you stand perfectly still
When my whole body is shaking?
Maybe if we both pretend,
I will actually come back some day.

The train is slowing.
I will get on.
Before you can take me
As I stand,
And we will both live
Miles apart.

Oblivious to what could have been.
If you had just taken me
While i stood,
Wishing for you.
