Darfur is a place without feathers
raging with human pain
where suffering is common
and bullets, not water, make rain
Decades of drought, drowning in blood
suffering through a tribal war
thousands dying, no one asking,
"what's all the fighting for?"
Military trucks barreling past
streets where bodies rot
where dread and fear rule the day
in a place that God forgot
