I sink into your kiss
like a sleeping soaking truth
and that truth is calm but full of fire
fire and life

Your scent fills my nose
like a peaceful suffocation
Then the energy from your lips pours into my mouth
like sustenance for my soul
I drink you in
intoxication

We are a living love poem
made of fleshy words
and for that endlessly brief moment
it's like we are all that has ever been
Just then
the world stops
if there is a world that is

It's queer and quaint and clever
this perfectly imperfect play that you and I
star in
and happy stars we are
for what other sort of stars could we be

And I sink into your kiss
a soaking sleeping truth
and that truth
is everything that is us

This piece was insipred by a actual kiss between my long term boyfriend and I. This was written for him.
