When kindness is unthinkable
Its visible
We do the minimal
Because anything additional
Is not permissible

Don’t talk to strangers
Beware of danger
But what about the danger
Of becoming estranged from
The one you love
Means protection from others
We fear each other
For this we suffer

Man on the street
Don’t meet, don’t greet
We’re obsolete
Self-sufficient
Not proficient
To make a difference
When times of interest
Now

We can’t connect
Reflect
We overprotect
But can’t protect
From neglect
The prime suspect
If left unchecked

The phone rings
Cuz being alone brings
Our own sins
Can’t tell if the voice is
Recorded
It's worth it

She serves it
talking to the waiter
gonna be a traitor
If you ask for something more than taters,
The flavor
Just another indicator
Don’t talk, violator

Need a mediator
Cuz this kid’s an agitator
Needs a coordinator
Moderator
Terminator
Inhalator
Or a way t’
Talk
