Black
I am the culmination of colors that blend
to make the absence of light,
the clash of hues to beat out the illumination of the sun
My strange combination, on the outside, is in perfect
harmony with all chroma, yet inside, is unable to understand
the individuality of their beings
Though I am the absence of light, I cannot survive
without it. I desperately shadow the luminosity that dances
before my eyes, calling me out to parties, hangouts, and fun.
I try to reach out to that light, but the color within whispers to
stay inside where it's safe, to avoid the glow outside, to stay
in the dark
