Walls
Tall and strong
Weather beaten
The unheard cry
Wet from the rain
Hot from the sun
Built to last
Not long enough
The earth shakes and they fall
Now a pile of rubble
Feet stomp on them
Cries fill the dust
Large machines move them
Digging in the heap
Syrians blaring
Bodies crushed by their weight
Some alive for days
Many are saved
Some not so lucky
Paper says they were weak
But they are still strong
