In necessariis unitas, in dubiis libertas, in omnibus caritas.

Somewhere in the shadows
On the outskirts of dreamland
Obscured through thick foreboding trees
Wanders the soul of a young man

His voice is frail and faltering
It cracks with insecurity
Muffled even to his own ears
It's clarion only for me

And somewhere in the shadows
Treading the ashes of this land
Obscured in vacant revelry
Wanders a soul composed of sand

Her voice is tense and echoing
Carefully laced with a mute plea
Littered with deciet and tears
This grating voice belongs to me

Somewhere in the shadows
The two souls lock eyes in the dark
And though the rendezvous is brief
It brands them with a distinct mark

Their paths cross time and time again
Seldom are they found apart
And now somewhere in the shadows
They make their way as congealed hearts

The answer to my riddle is the letter n ;)

This is also another amazing piece. It produces so much imagery!
