Recovery
It was as cold as ice
But still, I felt the warmth of your fire,
So everybody knows
Our love was as bright as sapphire
I felt the loneliness in your company
And the darkness in your soul
But I knew always,
Without you, I wasn’t whole
I felt my hands on the trigger
And thought of life for a minute
Life with you,
They told me I had lost it
I loved you for the not the way you
made my angels dance
But for the way you silenced my Devils
You put them into a trance
And I wrote your name on the bullet
So everybody knows
You were the last thing that went through my head;
This, my darling, you cannot mend.

This was a very emotional and personal piece for me. I was going through a dark time and I realised instead of being upset, I should take that sadness and make some art. So I did.
