Even though we are still so far apart,
I cannot believe of how much I still feel,
The same way I did when you looked at me,
And said how forever, I held your heart.

And yet here I am now, looking out far away,
And still see nothing over the expanse of years,
Not a word, not a sound, to tell me,
That anything would change this day.

But after the day that you suddenly disappeared,
I have waited forever for a sign to tell me otherwise,
Because the more I wait for you, the more apparent it is,
That those words, to my heart, have completely adhered.

And with that held to me, the words will always still ring,
Bringing happiness and fire to my own being and soul,
Letting me know that even though you're now long gone,
No matter what happens, you will always still be my everything.

This peice I had written for a Junior year english project, but while writing it, it had also turned into a message for many of the friends and loved ones I have lost contact with, or lost in death, over my life so far. I found it very fun to write, and I may have to start writing some more sometime.
