The Present of our Reality

I’ve been thinking about mortality
and how it affects our reality
We live life as if the next step decides it all
as if it will ruin us and be our downfall
We cling to the past and run from the present
We hope for the future because it is pleasant
Meanwhile we miss what matters most
the present we find so gross
