That Which
That empty forgotten seed
Planted in the grime of time
And growing into some lost purpose
 That man still cannot find

 That ultimate magic trick
 Making something come from nothing
 And grow into something greater
Just as winter melts into spring

That little which we are given
Which we may hide away in fear
Or may cast our seeds in the world
And water them with our tears

 That single glimpse of happiness
 Before the freedom's gone
Which reminds us we are living
And there's still something to be won

 That momentary setback
When we learn that life is a drem
And that we have lost so much
And there's what we might've been

 That lovely little miracle
When we chose to go on anyway
 When we know it all
 But still decide to stay
