Reflection
I look in the mirror
but all I see is a shattered image
of a girl hidden behind
pretty smiles
Wrapped so tight
in a blanket of lies
Suffocating in resentment
Behind those cheating eyes
Wishing she were forgotten
And had no worries
Dying to shed real tears
Ones that weren't just forced and salty and
fake and full of the most imperfect perfection
But it's too late
and all that's left
is a confused
lonely girl
Small and unspoken,
yet ready to show the world who she really is
Rebirthing, and showering off
the lies that got her here
