Poison's Ditty
Laying across satin pillows
Poison is her name,
so deadly yet so secret
Is her venemous game.
Fame is her eternal glory,
Poison has no shape.
An antidote so powerful
Is her only shame.
Poison has one owner,
Still yet unknown.
So discreet and bitersweet
She leaves deceit to be sown.
A short ditty written,
In Poison's name.
So if a victim is killed,
We'll kno who is to blame.
Infamous is what poison is,
Refined at her deathly skill.
Macabre is her only tune,
As Poison moves in to kill.
It has no colour to it's name,
But we know Poison is there.
Left to it's spiteful pursuits,
Our only question is where?
Amorous is Poison's desire,
It shows clearly in this rhyme.
Killing purposely without emotion,
We only ask of time.
Looking for death, Poison is,
Constantly on the prowl.
Vindictive, doesn't it seem,
When it watches us howl?
We're reaching the sorry end,
Our meaning was not to scare.
but when faced with unknown Poison,
Our message is beware...

I writ this poem as a means of revenge for the heroine of the book and it was a sort of closure from me to her. I hope unknowingly that anyone else who read this will also associate with the pain and the deep unjustice served and the retribution that was eventually found.
