What Difference Does it Make?
It all started with the coughing.
Time after time she chokes on her own words,
Few pay attention.
Then comes the dazed bobbing.
Reporters flock, she gets “overwhelmed”.
Back and forth, and back and forth goes her head,
Violently.
She’s falling, dragging, tripping.
It’s getting more difficult to hide.
They’re catching on.
We try our best to cover it up,
“She’s just joking” we’ll say, or “She’s tired”.
But the truth is, we all know.
And inevitably, so will they.
