A small young bird proud to be
The bird of a young man
Who found me and saved me
From misery

But never again will I be
A prim and pretty bird, joyful, free
For he kept me locked up
In a cage, in chains
And all of my joy turned into pain

I try to forget about reality
But every time I see his face
A nightmare starts to chase
When will I awake
From this world that imprisons me

Then I plummet
Into a fiery hell
When he brings home a girl
Another bird

I’m left alone
Forgotten and unheard
And in my prison cell
I’m left to die

My love unanswered
Your love was a lie
