When The Sky Fell

When the sky fell,
it hit me on the head.
When the ocean went down the drain,
I got sucked down.
When the trees caught fire,
I burned too.
When the moon eclipsed,
I disappeared.
When the earth quaked,
I was still.
When the Tornado twisted,
I did not hide.
When the hurricane threatened to blow me away,
I stood my ground.
But when the sky fell,
I knew the end had come,
then I cried.

The author's comments:
I wanted a peice that showed rapid change in personality very rapidly, the speaker changes from weak and cowardly to strong and brave and back again. The idea was to show how quickly people can change, and how it affects behavior, wether it's for godd or bad depends solely on that person alone, because they controle their own actions.
