In A Moment
I thought they lied when they said it wouldn't last forever,
I close my eyes and just imagine we were still together
The way your love would keep me warm just like a sweater,
In rain, or storm we could face any type of weather
Nothing else mattered just as long as it was me and you
In world full of fakes you were my only truth
To think it'd end after everything we've been though
Stuck in my room reminiscing on what we used to do
When I was scared you were always there to hold my hand
When I'm in danger you were there, my Superman
Late summer nights on the phone just making plans
How you could just walk away I'll never understand
I said there'd never be a man who could make me cry
And here I stand with a tear rolling down my eye
Sitting here trying to find a reason that could justify
It was bound to happen, but still I wonder why
Things always play out they way they're meant to be
Some times it might be different from what we want to see
Even though it might get hard keep holding on
Even though it makes you weak keep standing strong
Love the life that was given you
Head held high, always stay true
Appreciate the times that are given
Cause in a moment,
Its over.
