Dark fog covers the sun.
Screams are diluted by long distances,
But I carry the burden day after day.
Childhood promises long ago broken.
And you ask me why I cry?
When innocent blood isn't worshipped,
When wealth is no longer the first priority,
When beauty is not overlooked,
When families aren't broken,
When lives aren't wasted and
When the world is no longer hostile,
Then my eyes will be dry.

This is amazing. It's true, and touching. I don't mean touching in the sappy way, I mean it in the powerful way. It expresses the need for peace and truth today. Great job!
