If music be the lasting breath of life
And melody an eternal sunshine
Then why with solemn ears the world hears strife
and dismiss lyrical hearts divine?
The world is not counterfeit emotion
If harmony is universal speech
And music keeps serenity in motion
With intent for all the world to teach
My heart longs for compassion and for love
Let song echo in heavenly kinship
And ring from all the mountains up above
Allowing the gracious gift of friendship
For music is a refuge for the soul
To unite the world kindly as a whole
