God, I pray that you would send someone to save us
Because our cries have been replaced with lies and broken trust
God, why don't they listen?
Why don't they see?
I'm more than just a problem'I'm a person and you created me
I'm no different than they are
My feelings are just the same
I'm more than just a mistake, why am I the one that takes the blame?
Don't they know I was your gift?
You sent me as a blessing
Oh God, why can't they see?
They aren't getting rid of a problem, they're killing me
No one will listen, they can't even hear
Our cry has been silenced
The unborns' voices fall on deaf ears
God, forgive the parents
Help them realize they're dealing with life
Make them hear our voices
God, I pray you would send someone to stand up and fight

The author's comments:
Abortion is just one of the many issues that break God's heart in today's world. This poem I wrote is called The Silenced Prayer because so many people have turned away from what abortion really is or have chosen to ignore that fact that it is murder. It's our job, as Christians, to be able to give ourselves to God and be available for what he wants us to do, even if it means stepping out of our comfort zone and speaking up for those who can't.
