Once you Were
Once you were
 My very best friend.
 Truly you had me deter
 From seeing your pretend.
 You were never really
 There for me at all.
 You let me confess freely
 Then notes you would scrawl.
 About me you never cared,
 But my secrets you wanted.
 Those you often shared
 With people who often taunted.
I now have people who truly care
In a way you never did.
 Now better I fare
Since you are off my grid.
