My Storm

A rolling mass of gray and blue
Compliments the morning dew
Clouds cover the sun with steam
A world you picture in a dream

Thunder roars into my ear
A sound I know and never fear
Lightning dances across the skies
A pleasure to my squinting eyes

Beside the earth lays sun and moon
Revolving to their rhythmic tune
Bleak horizons masked by storms
And ceilings Mother Nature forms

Strong winds blow against my face
Realness in a dreamy space
I close my eyes and lose my sight
Against the wind but not the light

A thunder storm was moving in
Across the skies and in the wind
I start to wake to my surprise
And feel the dryness in my eyes

I already submitted this work as along with others, but resubmitted it because i noticed that other poems were submitted individually. This work was also submitted to turnitin.com, which would explain why it seems unoriginal, even though it is.

the last line relates to how one's eyes might get dry if there is wind blowing in their eyes. It doesn't make sense because when one just wakes up their eyes aren't normally dry becasue the have been closed the whole time...but its supposed to lead the reader to ask him/herself if it was a real of jsut a dream
