Once Hurt now in Love

What is this feeling?
It cannot be.
I am not worthy of this reeling,
Powerful feeling that makes me want to flee.
It is so strong.
Now I cannot escape it.
It will not be long,
Before I no longer fit.
I cannot help but feel,
The pain once caused by him.
I was like the Devil's meal,
Never to breach the earth's rim.
Maybe I can overcome the pain I felt.
I can try to love,
But it may be hard to overcome the pain I was dealt.
I may finally be free like a dove.
