Sister
Sometimes I wish you could see in my mind,
like when we were twined together like clay,
to see all the troubles I seem to find.
But recently it’s like you’ve become blind
and can’t see me slowly sinking away.
Sometimes I wish you could see in my mind.
I want back the times of our secret bind,
when I didn’t have to tell you the way
to see all the troubles I seem to find.
I am watching the memories rewind.
Don’t just look at me and stare while I fray.
Sometimes I wish you could see in my mind.
There is nothing for me to hide behind,
when you detach yourself and run away,
to see all the troubles I seem to find.
I guess our stars have become unaligned,
cause even when you’re with me you’re astray.
Sometimes I wish you could see in my mind,
to see all the troubles I seem to find.

I wrote this in a creative writing class. It was inspired by my sister, who I am not as close to as I used to be.
