It's Hard to Believe
It’s hard to believe,
It’s all over.
The friday football games,
Classes with friends,
Late night milkshakes at the diner,
And bonfires in the backyard.
It’s hard to believe,
That the grades
I slaved over for years,
Are now the numbers
Used to identify my application.
It’s hard to believe,
I won’t know anyone in my class,
Or in my hall,
And all around
Will be faces of strangers.
It’s hard to believe,
That high school is really ending,
That I won’t be a kid anymore,
But an actual adult.
And that’s scary
