First Catch
We went flying through the wavy water
Rocking back and forth
Through the storm
With salty sea water splashing against our faces
I wanted to be warm
I casted the lure in the water
I heard a loud plop
It made the water splash in the shape of a tear drop
A gust had picked up,
As soon as I had warmed up
I had a strange feeling
That something big was coming
I saw a huge jumping fish
That made a loud whish
I had started squealing
It bit down as hard as a dog
The battle was about to begin
I started to reel it in
It put up a big fight,
But I my odds would eventually see the light
It was the first fish I caught
It was in a large white yacht
It was thirty inches long
I caught it in a net
I had to be very strong
