Cry About It
I sit around a camp fire
The dark could not make us dire
With my friends near
there was no fear.
I grew up with my brother and sister
only now I realize how much I miss her.
My dog was black and brown
He always ran away into town.
When I got off the school bus,
and saw him it was always a plus.
I went to band camp and it was swell
I tried not to dwell.
There was a present on the field,
and it was very unpleasant.
Lucas came out in a speedo
I wish he would have put on a tuxedo.
I love going to marching band
looking at Amanda’s hands.
Of course I’m always losing sleep,
and look like a garbage heap,
but the rush I get at a show
makes my face have a glow.
Sometimes I cry about it.
