Passes By
Passes By
A daunting task is presented
easy to deter.
The thought of beginning seems demented
I will forget it, yes that I prefer.
September passes by
Leaves are turning,
things slow down.
Cold is descending,
no effort known.
October passes by
Hectic people running about,
the bustle never slows.
I try to scream and shout,
but still no work shows.
November passes by
cheerful people mill around,
happiness on our hearts.
Season of cheer and beauty sound,
but still no start.
December passes by
Excitement of a new beginning,
makes its way into our lives.
Things to do create thoughts spinning,
my motivation dives.
January passes by
Life once again becomes a hectic lull,
the task seems more tedious than ever.
The knowledge of what lays ahead is dull,
I think I will simply procrastinate forever.
February passes by.
The task is screaming in my face,
panic begins to overtake.
I begin to regret my pace,
perhaps I have made a mistake.
March is here. This task is due.
