Quinten
The bedroom was dimly lit
New sheets and pillows made up the bed
The pillows were piled high
A scratching sound was made at the rooms’ entrance
The door creaked open, yet no one was seen
A ringing noise was heard with each step
The small intruder waited impatiently at the bed
This thing began to bark
This little schnauzer meant business
It was quite clear he wanted on the bed
The yelps continued to fill the room and the ringing from his collar joined in unison
The light became bright then the dogs’ bravery began to show
He took five steps back, and lunged forward
Finally, he landed safely upon the bed
The night was finally calm
My inspiration to write this piece came from my lil pup quinten. The thing i hope people will get from reading this is how simple things in life, can make someone so happy.
