The color of the walls
my favorite place to sit
the pictures and furniture
Everything in this room is familiar

I know it very well
I could close my eyes and walk arond
I'm practically related to everyone here
everything in this room I know

It is safe
It protects, there are no windows
I've been in here so long
Everything in this room is all I've ever known so far

But a door appears
there is knocking
It is almost my time
Everything in this room I must leave

The outside I've never seen
The outside is my future
It is calling me
Everything in this room is my past

Now I leave all familiar things
And continue on my life journey
Farewell my friends and family
Everything in this room I will always cherish
