A tapestry is like our love,
The fibres woven tight.
To form a pretty picture,
That shows our growing life.
The filament that forms the piece,
Out lines the ups and downs.
Without the good things with the bad,
All things would end in frowns.
I sit here thinking of the times,
That we have shared as one.
And think about how it would be,
If things could be are done.
The tapestry that shows our path,
Is slowly coming loose.
So I propose we start again,
And love will find us soon.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem just after I broke up with my frist boyfriend. I was feeling guilty and felt that writing about it would make more sense. To this day these words provide solace for me when embarking on a relationship, and i hope that they will resonate in your hearts as well.
