Favorite Quote:
So many are superficial as to make it a religion. So little are not as to make it heresy.

A Darkness, all encompassing, penetrating, consuming.
Slowly, it creeps; condemning all that come upon it, unknowing.
The Darkness is heavy, a crushing weight, inescapable;
Generating pain and desperation indescribable.

In the distance there's a flower of immaculate beauty;
But just beyond the enticing petals and the sweet nectar,
There are depraved thorns overflowing with malevolent poison.
It is in this vile poison that the Darkness originates.

Beneath the masquerading flower is an array of stars.
Dim pieces of light and warmth, promises of a brief reprieve
From the Darkness so desolate, from the seclusion so stark.
There is hope in those dancing pinpricks, a hope for something more.

Turning away from the deceitful flower, the stars brighten.
Those wondrous specks of radiance bolster the sought-after hope.
Aware of the inattention, the flower begins to wilt.
The flower declines, the Darkness starts to fade, the hope strengthens.

The Darkness leaves its mark as it fades, a lasting reminder;
Though the flower may be alluring, its poison is fatal.

Nice job! I did not realize how deep your thoughts are. Where did that come from, and does the flower represent someone?
